‘Chicks with Clicks’ opens tonight at the Lost Gallery, Brunswick. A unique geodesic gallery space, built from recycled material, set out behind the loading dock of a backstreet warehouse known as ‘The Hive’. ‘Chicks with Clicks’ is an all-female photography show exhibiting the work of emerging and established photographers. Organised to celebrate the 60th anniversary of acclaimed female photographer, Sue Ford’s birth, The opening is boasted to be an interactive experience, with live music, body painted models, nibbles and a bar to help you get I the mood. Selected works will be on display for another month at the front of the warehouse, 329 Victoria Street, Brunswick.

Transitions Film Festival is running from February 15 – February 23 and is a part of Sustainable Living Festival. The films program covers a broad range of themes including energy futures, architecture, design, transport, food, security, sustainable economics and global community.
Named after ‘the transition period’ that our world is going through, the film festival showcases feature films, shorts and free screenings.
Sunday sees the return of Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival. Now in its 21st year, Tropfest is hitting Sidney Myer Music Bowl, gates opening at 2pm , Trop Jr starting at 3pm and the main event starting around dusk. As well as the films there will be bands and beer, and probably food.
The winners will be announced live from Sydney, decided by a panel of celebrities and industry heavyweights. The judges for this year haven’t been confirmed but let’s hope out Geoffrey Rush or Toni Collette are back in the mix.
The Famous Spielgeltent is back again and in full swing, running until the April 21. Check out the website for more details, there is too much for me to summarise, I feel over whelmed just thinking about it.
