MIAF14 Starts TODAY!

This year’s program brings you the best of new, retrospective, and historical animation to the screens of ACMI from 19 to 29 June, 2014.

And a festival is not a festival without an Opening Night Gala Screening. Starting at 7pm tonight, bubbles will be served to help the Australian Showcase, Best of the Next: Student Festival, Late Night Bizarre, Kids Program, Music Videos and other treasures wash over you in all their glory.

The international showcase breaks around 2,900 entries into seven showcase sittings, with repeats for each showing. Music videos, Best of the Next: International, Quickdraw Animation Society 30th Anniversary and 3 days in Paris are just some of the program highlights that will be making love to your eyeballs this year.

With the Render conference, Blend:Symposium and workshops a plenty, MIAF is not just for those who sit and watch, its for learning, meeting, talking, seeing and expanding your animation knowledge.

Capping off the festival is Best of the Fest, a way for your weary eyes and overworked brains to see what the judges and audience rated as top notch. It’s a popular event, so book early as it will sell out.

Pocket guides and the full program can be found here.
