MGA - THE RENNIE ELLIS SHOW
When travelling to the suburbs, one does not expect a car parking issue.
“What the hell, there are no parks?! But we are in the bloody suburbs! There's so much space!”
When a gallery opens The Rennie Ellis Show, bitch be warned. Monash Gallery of Art, despite its suburban location draws in the crowds and entertains them with the big guns. Speeches from Michael Caton dropping a few F-bombs and William Yang opening with “I didn't know heterosexual people have so much fun!”
It's a strange feeling being a photographer at a photography exhibition, photographing photographers like Robert McFarlane, Stephen Dupont and William Yang. Each photographer carrying a camera and snapping away when they were not talking.
Once a photographer, always a photographer.
