WHAT: The Screaming Hand Art Show is a celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Screaming Hand image, created by artist Jim Phillips. The image has become an unmistakable symbol of youth and skateboard culture, and was the overall brand image for Speed Wheels Santa Cruz. To celebrate this milestone, over 80 artists have been asked to create their own impression of the Screaming Hand. The exhibition is starting off in Australia, and will be touring all over the US, Tokyo and Taiwan. The Australian leg of this travelling art show will feature over 30 Australian artists, and 50 international ones.
WHO: Curated by Eddie Zammit from T-world. WHEN: The show will launch tonight, November 11, from 7pm, and is RSVP only. However the show will be running until this Sunday November 15. Free Entry.
