Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery: Last day to see the Salon Des Refuses - translated to 'Exhibition of Rejects'. Come and check out an alternative selection of works that were submitted for The Archibald Prize. Definitely worth the drive. $4-$7, 10am - 5pm. [Mornington]

C3: Faux Fair - The Opening Event. C3 gallery at The Abbotsford Convent has organised curators to each create their own art stand to raise money to lower the gallery fees for artists in 2016. All artwork will be on sale, and the opening event will kick off at 6pm. The dress code is black tie/fancypants. [Abbotsford]

Mailbox Art Space: opening of Cells. Melbourne comic book artists explore the theme of non-literal  imprisonment by transforming the boxes of the gallery space into cells. 6pm-8pm. [CBD]
