Five Walls Projects: Opening night for the introduction of "z", by Tina Douglas. Wednesday 20 July 2016, 6 - 9 pm. Exhibitions runs until Saturday August 6 2016. Arcade is a a window box exhibition space. [Footscray]

Thursday 21 July:

Blindside x Liquid Architecture: Opening drinks and performance by Tom Smith for Gesture Manifest. Gesture Manifest is a Liquid Architecture project for BLINDSIDE Sound Series 2016, featuring work by Carolyn Eskdale, Clare Milledge and Bridie Lunney, with performance by Shelley Lasica and Tom Smith. 6-8pm [CBD]

Centre for Contemporary Photography: 30th Anniversary Fundraiser – opening night. Over 70 artists from Australia, New Zealand, Britain and the US have donated photographic work, which are available for purchase. With a DJ, plus refreshments and catering, 6 - 8pm. The exhibition will continue from 22 July to 30 July. [Fitzroy]

Melbourne Finders Keepers Market: The Finders Keepers markets is a massive three day event, featuring over 250 independent art and design stalls in the world renowned Royal Exhibition Building in the Carlton Gardens. Market is open over three days, Friday 22nd July 6pm - 10pm, Saturday 23rd July 10am - 6pm, and Sunday 24th July 10am - 4pm.[Carlton]

Brunswick Street Gallery: Opening night event for new solo exhibitions featuring Beck Sandford, Brendan Parkes, Eva Stimson Clark, Steven Makse, Simon Deere, and Simon Wilde, and a small group show Contemporary Localised Survey. 6 - 9pm [Fitzroy]

Strange Neighbour - Studio space: Opening night for Such Peculiarities My Dear by Obi Blanche. Finnish born, Berlin based photographer / musician Obi Blanche has spent the last 6 months living in Melbourne discovering the city and documenting people and places. 6-9pm. [Fitzroy]

Neon Parlour: Opening night for Cerebral Reverb, a solo showcase of works by Jasper Killick aka Toggles. An eclectic collection of recent physical musings, relating to art, life, technological extrapolation and human impacts on the environment. 6pm [Thornbury]

Saturday 23 July:

GSPF x Little Woods: Kate Brown, "Howling City", live vocal performance, 6-8pm. Howling City is a sound performance incorporating experimental vocal techniques, exploring the capacities and limits of the body. Gertrude Street Projection Festival, Little Woods Gallery. [Fitzroy]

Montsalvat: Times' Tattoo, a solo exhibition by Melbourne artist Jo Lane, featuring immaculate works on paper. Meet the artist on Saturday 23 July, 12- 3pm. Exhibition continues until 31 July 2016, open 7 days a week 9 - 5 pm. [Eltham]
